As
commander of the Army of Northern Virginia, Lee gained a reputation
as one of the most audacious military leaders in the history
of the United States. He endeared himself to his men and gained
the respect of leaders on both sides of the contest. Portraying

for over 10 years. He appears at numerous reenactments each
year as well as making appearances in schools and theaters.
